FACOM introduces its first Accessory Set Systems with market leading ‘Dual Torsion’ Impact Bits
Automotive and industrial tool specialist FACOM has introduced the first step in a new series of power tool Accessory Sets providing protection in a connectible, modular case design.
Built for use with the most powerful impact drivers, these impact bits can handle the most demanding torque and turning force requirements, and feature an optimised tip geometry to ensure full fitment to all types of fastener (Phillips®, Pozidriv®, Torx® or Hex), minimising the risk of slippage or cam-out, and increasing both reliability and safety.
Brand new to the FACOM portfolio is the 63mm Dual Torsion Titanium impact drill bit range, which has been CNC machined to deliver maximum durability, and offers up to 50x longer product life* than traditional standard drills. This pioneering design ensures reduced breakage and wear in both hard and soft joint applications – protecting both the accessory and the application material.
Built to withstand rigorous daily use in all environments, the sets are designed to protect and organise the accessories in the workshop, out on the job or in transit. This innovative storage solution is stackable and delivers space-saving convenience combined with easy component access. Each case incorporates a robust tinted lid, giving users visibility of the accessories inside, and includes a new style of bit bar for easy removal and replacement, allowing bits to be locked safely into place when not in use.
Each FACOM Accessory Set includes a full line-up of innovative components, addressing a multitude of professional applications within automotive and industrial environments.
As part of each set, a Torsion Bit Holder with integrated torsion zone and floating ring magnet ensures secure bit retention and quick release, while increasing the life of 25mm impact bits by up to 50x. The torsion zone flexes to absorb any peaks in torque, preventing the danger of premature breakage.
Also included: a full range of Impact Cleanable Magnetic Nut Drivers. These highly practical accessories are ideal for metal workers and can be quickly and effortlessly cleaned by the user to remove any build-up of metal filings and debris – thus ensuring full head fitment within the nut driver and maximum rotational performance. This excellent fastener retention allows for one-handed usage and minimises the risk of fasteners being dropped or lost. The lobular design reduces stripping damage by driving the fastener on all sides, instead of forcing just the corners to turn. This helps protect both accessory and fastener.
The new 63mm and 89 mm impact bits can be used with a Magnetic Sleeve, which provides outstanding precision, permitting one-handed use, better screw retention and a lower risk of the fastener slipping from the bit driver.
Manufactured with an HSS Titanium coating, Titanium Impact Ready drill bits have been specifically engineered for professionals working regularly with alloyed and non-alloyed steels, sheet metal and thin-walled profile material. Designed for optimum productivity, they feature a quick-change shank for rapid exchange of accessories. The reinforced core, which increases in diameter in the direction of the shaft, ensures up to 2x longer life, guaranteeing exceptional durability and fracture stability. Furthermore, their optimised flute geometry ensures that holes are drilled cleanly and accurately. The patented pilot tip features four cutting edges that allow the bits to quickly penetrate and remove material faster.
